Phalande Jean, LMFT, CCTP

Phalande Jean (They/She) is a fat, Black Caribbean, nonbinary femme therapist, multi-disciplinary artist, domme and founder of phalasophy. They believe an individual’s story stores their pain, power and liberation. Collaborating with Phalande is about being intentional, mindful, and creative with your healing. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). They are a domme in training with the Black Queer Dom Society and love supporting BIPOC Kinky community. Working with Phalande is about being whole, she combines traditional talk therapy and body-focused somatics to support your wellness.

Phalande believes in “doing the work” and believes their capacity as a therapist is deeply rooted in their own practices of self-care and community care. Outside of sessions, she is a painter via Phalande Maia.

Kia Burrell,

Kia Burrell (They/She) is a multi-hyphenate creative, musician, and vocal coach who is passionate about helping people heal the relationship they have with their voice. Kia offers vocal coaching sessions that can support singers, speakers, and folks who have “lost their voice” due to trauma. Sessions with Kia are about opening the throat chakra and connecting to your personal power of self-expression through vocalizations.

They also specialize in supporting creative/wellness businesses, community organizations, and performing arts organizations by providing full-scope programs, performance, and project coordination. Outside of their work with the practice, they also manage their own coaching studio, Griot Voice Studio, and study ethnomusicology, music production, and sound engineering.
